HISTORIC COURTHOUSE CRUMBLING

Body
HISTORIC COURTHOUSE CRUMBLING. The century-old Choctaw County Courthouse is literally cracking and crumbling its way into history. An interior part of the structure collapsed in the deputies’ office on the first floor last Monday morning. No one was reported injured. The cause of the collapse was not immediately known, but Interim Undersheriff Ron Miller and Emergency Management Coordinator Pat Collins discussed the likelihood recent waves of strong thunderstorms, and the age and condition (deterioration) of the building, were factors.
