Boswell headed to State after defeating LeFlore at Regional tournament

The Boswell Scorpions are headed to the Oklahoma Class A State baseball playoffs after defeating the LeFlore Savages twice in Regional play, and suffering only one loss to Tupelo, 0-1. In the deciding game Friday, the Scorpions fell behind, 0-1 in the second inning, but plated four runs in the third to take a 4-1 lead.

Senators piled criticism onto Facebook Tuesday as a whistleblower accused the company of making choices that put profits over people. Frances Haugen, a former Facebook product manager, testified in person before a full Senate Commerce subcommittee panel, urging Congress to hold the tech giant accountable for what she said was the harm it inflicted on children and its refusal to properly police its content.

We have no rain but lots of sunshine in the forecast through Saturday with high temperatures climbing from the low-80s early in the week to the low-90s by Saturday afternoon. I am expecting a cool down by Columbus Day on Oct. 11 with highs only around 82 degrees.
