VALLIANT — Hugo earned its first home win of the season Thursday night, beating Valliant 47-21 on homecoming. Even though the Bulldogs were one of the easier games left on Hugo’s schedule, the win was important for a few reasons.
James Jonathan “John” Bacon was born Nov. 20, 1971 in Talihina, Okla., the son of Jimmy Bacon and Mary Jane (Roberts) Bacon and had lived all of his life in Boswell. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Scotty Bacon; sister, D’Esta Hull, and a grandson.
Celebration of life for John Howser was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021 at The Church –– Garvin, Okla., with Pastor Brent Coffey and Pastor Mike Bryant officiating. Burial followed at Springs Chapel Cemetery. John went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, in Plano, Texas, at the age of 61.
