‘The Lesson,’ by Traci Rabbit selected as this year’s American Indian/Alaska Native Heritage Month Poster

American Indian Heritage Month is observed from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30. During this time, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) celebrates and recognizes the intertribal cultures and takes the opportunity to educate the public about the heritage, history, art, and traditions of American Indians and Alaska Natives. Furthermore, we respect and honor tribal sovereignty by working on a Government-to-Government basis with Tribal Nations to protect and enhance tribal natural resources. To this end, NRCS dedicate a poster every year from the artwork of an American Indian artist to celebrate American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month in November.

• For 2022 Academic All-State, Outstanding Educator awards OKLAHOMA CITY –– The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, a nonprofit organization that recognizes and encourages academic excellence in Oklahoma’s public schools, is seeking nominations for its 2022 Academic All-State Scholarships and Medal for Excellence Awards. Scholarships and educator awards totaling $125,000 will be presented at the foundation’s 36th annual Academic Awards Banquet on May 21, 2022, at the Omni Hotel in Oklahoma City.

The Bible warns us of a particular type of individual. This person has a specific kind of personality that we all should be aware of. These people have become increasingly more influential in our society over the last few years. They have been placed in positions of authority by appointment or election and pose a great threat to our way of life in America. These people are found in positions of leadership in government, churches, communities and in every aspect of society. This type of person is referred to by scripture as a Froward person.
