Hugo Lady Buffalo Jordan Holman carved her initials in the Buffalo history books last week with a sensational second place finish in the State 3A Track Meet. Holman has been a multi-sport letterman all four years at Hugo High and a team leader of the Lady Buffaloes Basketball team and member of the school’s Championship Cheer Squad.

SHAWNEE — The 2021 Rattan RAMS were on a mission and many believed they would bring home another baseball State Championship. But the Fort Cobb-Broxton Mustangs had other ideas, and they squeaked past the RAMS in a back-and-forth 6-5 win to claim the State title last week.

To help combat rising rates of childhood and adult obesity, the Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) launched a teen-focused nutrition education campaign, Swap Up, earlier this year. Starting May 10, two new Swap Up educational messages began encouraging teenagers to make healthier nutritional choices, along with free to order educational materials supporting the healthy behaviors youth can adopt.
