It is no secret that American citizens have significantly different ideologies about a variety of current events and social trends. That is one of the reasons why Congress stays so bottled up on almost any issue... the body itself is a hodgepodge of ideology, which makes finding middle ground on most legislation both arduous and difficult.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor and 11 other state attorneys general filed a new lawsuit asking a federal court to stop the Biden administration’s overreaching “job or jab” COVID-19 vaccine mandate for healthcare workers. The mandate threatens to further burden the healthcare sector and patient well-being in Oklahoma, where a large percentage of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities are already facing worker shortages.
The annual Hugo Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 11 at 5:30 p.m. Lineup starts at 4:30 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club. The theme is “Peace on Earth.” Registration must be completed at the Hugo Chamber of Commerce by noon on Dec. 10. The parade will leave the Boys & Girls Club and go down Jackson St. to the Frisco Depot Museum where Santa will be available for photos. There will also be hot chocolate, cookies and caroling.
