Graveside services for Christina Marie (Phillips) James, of Boswell, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. March 17, 2022 at Wade Family Cemetery in Unger, Okla. Christina passed away March 10, 2022, at the age of 80.

Fort Towson students competed in the Murray State College Curriculum Contest last week. There were 19 schools registered in Division III. Eight schools earned points by placing students in the top 3 for 33 individual tests.

When a 21-year-old man was shot multiple times recently, the clock began ticking on whether is his life could be saved. Because emergency medical responders worked together quickly and efficiently, the man survived.

The Second Annual Trail of Tears Virtual Journey kicks off March 21, 2022. This year, the route will take the participants over 512 miles from Mississippi to Oklahoma. The points of interest along the way will be different from last year, with several videos highlighting aspects of the ancestral journey and Choctaw heritage. Participants will have until June 19, 2022 to complete the challenge.
