Kiamichi Tech recognizes Practical Nursing graduates

HUGO –– Eighteen Practical Nursing students graduated from Kiamichi Tech – Hugo on Thursday, June 30, 2022. According to the program director, Shelly Swalley, Practical Nursing graduates complete 1,508 hours of class time and clinical hours. Hugo School board of education has begun the search for a new superintendent. After adjourning into executive session during Monday’s meeting, the board discussed the superintendent search and the interview process, which will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 11 with approximately 12 applicants. The board announced after the meeting closed Monday that Sammy Drinkard, who was currently the dean of students at the high school, was asked to transfer positions and has accepted to role of high school principal.
