Ronald Edward Green

A private family funeral service for Ronald Edward Green, of Denver, Colo., was held at 10 a.m. June 14, 2021 at Goodland Cemetery.

Ronald Edward Green, born to William Green and Catherine Plank, passed away in Denver, Colo., on Monday, June 7, 2021, at the age of 87. Ron grew up in McAlester and Tulsa before completing a degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. His storied career took him all over the United States and even to Japan, and included air-to-air missile systems, the manned space program, and new battery technology. Beginning with a family trip as a teenager, he fell in love with the San Juan mountains of Colorado and eventually settled there, but still returned regularly to Oklahoma. He survived his first wife, Jean and second wife, Nancy, and is survived by his three children: Eddie, Julie and Andy. Ron was laid to rest on Monday, June 14th in the Goodland Cemetery next to his grandfather, Jasper Plank and grandmother, Rosanna Gooding.

Services were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
