Celebration of life for Louise Rhodes will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022 at the 4th Street & Jackson Church Of Christ in Hugo, Okla., with David Estep officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. Nancy Louise Rhodes went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 25, 2022 in Hugo, surrounded by her loved ones at the age 84.

Louise was born Dec. 16, 1937 in McCurtain, Okla., the daughter of Bashel and Mary Loeta (Daniels) Neal. Louise is preceded in death by her spouse, Foy Rhodes; parents, Bashel and Loeta Neal; two brothers: Jackie Don and Harold Dean Neal. Survivors include three daughters and 1 son: Pam Bundy and husband, Brent of McAlester, Okla., Donna Estep and partner, Dwight Burson of Rockwall, Texas, Bill Rhodes and wife, Elaine of Saginaw, Texas, and Janet Bertsch and husband, Kent of Granger, Ind. Louise leaves to cherish her memory 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Survivors also include two sisters: June Pierce and Pat Holbook; two brothers: Winston and Joe Neal; Gerene Taylor, Andrea Rhodes, Doris Rhodes, Willene Faris and Arvin and Nancy Rhodes and a host of other family, friends and loved ones. Louise lived in Hugo for 69 years and was a member of the 4th & Jackson Church of Christ. She married the love of her life, Foy Rhodes on Nov. 24, 1955, sharing 62 years together. She was an avid gardener and loved sharing her flowers and garden produce with everyone. Louise was an insurance agent along with her husband, Foy for a number of years with Shelter Insurance. Louise’s life was dedicated to her family and church. To know her was to love her, always putting everyone above herself. She had a servant’s heart and the most humble person. While she is no longer on this earth, she lives on in each of our hearts and we will proudly carry on her love and honor her legacy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to Tipton Childrens Home, P.O. Box 370, Tipton, OK 73570.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo.
