Guadalupe del Carmen Perez

Funeral services for Guadalupe del Carmen Perez, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 15, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hugo. Guadalupe passed away Sept. 10, 2020, at the age of 55.

Guadalupe del Carmen (Muniz-Morales) Perez was born on June 23, 1965 in Monterrey, Mexico, to Jorge Muniz and Martha (Morales) de Hernandez Muniz. She was preceded in death by her father.

Carmen met her beloved husband, Gustavo while working at Carson and Barnes Circus. They later joined the Kelly-Miller Circus. Gustavo was the Big Top Boss and Carmen was a performer. They traveled for many years through many states with their children, enjoying adventures along the way. Gustavo preceded her in death on March 8, 2020.

Carmen loved her family beyond measure. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Carmen enjoyed crocheting, sewing and her dogs. She loved cooking and taking care of her family. Carmen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Guadalupe is survived by her mother, Martha; son, Obed Perez and fiance of Hugo; daughters: Jessica Perez and fiance of Hugo, Berenice James and husband of Boswell, Okla.; brother, Moises Morales of Monterey, Mexico; sister, Sarai Berenice Bakr of Monterey, Mexico; six grandchildren, along with many other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Father Todd Nance officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
