Henry Clay Lester was born to Lane and Sue Lester in Soper, Okla., on Aug. 22, 1932. He passed from this life at his home in Nelson on Feb. 6, 2023, at the age of 90 years.

Henry was a member of Archie Baptist Church Henry was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1950. He enjoyed showing cattle and lambs, and watching the kids roping. Above all else, his grandchildren were the joy of his life and he loved them all dearly.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents: Lane and Sue Lester; brothers: Robert and Frank; sisters: JoAnn and Mary; first wife, Carolyn; infant son, Paul; and infant great-grandson, Cadden.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home; children: Gary Lester of Stillwater, Okla., James Lester of Grant, Okla., Donna Lester Mc-Crite and husband, T.J. of Bennington, Okla., Russell Lester and wife, Kelly of Atoka, Okla., Ronald Mason and wife, Regina of Finley, Okla., and Rhonda Mason of Soper, Okla.; grandchildren: Alia Young, Rianna Blair, Kalynn Lester, Miranda Linn, Jordan Hudson, Shyla Bryant, Chelsi Lepel, Maci Sheppard and Avery Hamman; and great-grandchildren: Keagan, Kutter, Henlee, Chloe, Clifton and Eliza; as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Services for Henry took place at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2022 in the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with Greg Mack officiating. Interment followed at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper.

Pallbearers included: Alex Lepel, Chris Bryant, William Mack, Brett Mack and Cullen Mack.

Services were under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
