Betty Jane VanWorth was born on Feb. 9, 1931 in Chickasha, Okla., the daughter of Thomas and Grace (White) Burnett. Betty moved to California with her parents and siblings as a child of the Dust Bowl. She met and married Sonny VanWorth and they raised their family in California. After Roy passed away she married Ray VanWorth in Las Vegas, Nev., in 1977. They moved to Hugo, Okla., where she worked at the sewing factory before her retirement. Betty was a homebody and loved her family beyond measure. She enjoyed her retirement and loved to sew and so she spent her days quilting, doing embroidery work and reading. Betty lived in the Hugo area for more than 30 years before moving to Wewoka to be closer to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Interment followed the service at Springs Chapel Cemetery in Hugo with Bro. Johnny Corgill officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
