Betty Jo (Lemons) Redus

Funeral services for Betty Jo (Lemons) Redus, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Betty passed away Feb. 9, 2022, at the age of 75.

Betty Jo (Lemons) Redus was born Oct. 17, 1946 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of Oliver Lemons and Louise (Collie) Lemons. She passed from this life on Feb. 9, 2022 in Oklahoma City. Betty married David Redus on July 4, 2015 in Petty, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers: Jimmy Lemons, Joey Lemons, Roger Lynn Lemons and Robert Lemons; and her sister, Evelyn Lemons.

Betty grew up in Hugo and had recently moved back home from Texas. Betty was an entertainer, she loved to cook, enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking for her company. Betty loved her family deeply, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by her daughters: Deanna Shawhart of Hugo, Milisa Taylor and husband of Hugo and Bailey Redus of Paris, Texas; son, Colt Redus of Paris, Texas; brothers: Billy Lemons of Hugo and Jackie Lemons of Hugo; sister, Pat Carpenter of Chicota, Texas; four grandchildren, three great-grandchilden, along with a host of other family and friends.

Interment followed the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with the Rev. Rocky Barrow officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
