Body

Funeral services for Brenda Kay Linn, of Antlers, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. March 15, 2021 at Soper Assembly of God Church. Brenda passed away March 10, 2021, at the age of 56.

Brenda Kay Linn was born on Nov. 10, 1964 in Talihina, Okla., to Jerry Linn and Billie (Lawrence) Strickland. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Van Linn, and a nephew.

Brenda was a member of the Choctaw Nation and worked at the Choctaw Casino in the surveillance department, which was right up her alley! She loved being the eye in the sky or as her family called it, “nosey.” Brenda later left the casino to work full time at the Antlers Nutrition Center where she ran the kitchen with a tight ship. Brenda was fun loving and always up for anything. Her greatest joy was her family and she especially loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Brenda would come running anytime her grandkids called! Her favorite thing to do was watching her granddaughter, Ainsley ride her horse and do playdays. Brenda’s only priority was getting through chemo to get back to Ainsley’s playdays

Brenda is survived by her sons: Kevin Linn and wife of Finley, Okla., Robert Linn and wife of Oologah, Okla., and Larry Linn of Hugo, Okla.; a daughter-in-law, significant other; brothers: John Linn of Atoka, Larry Linn of Soper and Robert Linn of Hugo; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild, along with many other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper, Okla., with Bro. Michael Tom officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
