Funeral services for Cecil Albert Tidmore, of Swink, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Valliant. Cecil passed away Nov. 13, 2022, at the age of 90.

Cecil “Curly” Albert Tidmore was born on April 30, 1932 in Annona, Texas, the son of Jasper Tidmore and Nola (Curtis) Tidmore. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Billie Jean Tidmore; sons: Cecil Andrew Tidmore and Paul Wayne Tidmore; daughter, Carol Myers; 10 brothers; and six sisters.

Cecil was a proud veteran, surviving in the US Navy and fought in the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Billie Jean, on March 29, 1953 in Waukena, Calif., and they later moved to the Swink Community in 1990. Cecil was a kind man with a heart of gold, he loved his friends and his family dearly. He enjoyed watching Westerns in his recliner and drinking his coffee while visiting with friends and family. Cecil also had a love for fishing and running trotlines. However, Cecil’s greatest joy in life was his family, they truly were the light of his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cecil is survived by his daughters: Ruth Crist of Swink and Kathy Tidmore of Swink; brothers: Bob Tidmore of Swink, Wilburn Tidmore of Lubbock, Texas, and Wesley Tidmore of Harrison, Ark.; grandchildren: Ryan Crist, Rebekah Crist, Jeremiah Tidmore, Jason Tidmore, Nicholas Tidmore and Jared Tidmore; 12 great-grandchildren; one greatgreat-grandson; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home.

Interment will follow the service at Valliant Cemetery, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
