Memorial services for Charles H. Curtis, of Boswell, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. June 18, 2022 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell.

Charles H. Curtis was born April 3, 1941 in Boswell (Mayhew), the son of John Herschal Curtis and Susie (Lomax) Curtis. He passed from this life on May 6, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 81. Charles married the love of his life, Marty Pendley on Jan. 26, 1973 in Durant, Okla. They were married for more than 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers: Norwood Curtis, Joe Curtis, Kenneth Curtis, W.L. Curtis and John Curtis.

Charles was born in Mayhew and grew up in the Boswell community. He was a graduate of Boswell High School. Charles was also a proud veteran. He served in the Army and fought for his country in the Vietnam War. He moved to Fort Worth and began a career with General Motors where he worked for 34 years before retiring. Later in life Charles and Marty returned to Boswell and lived close to where he was born and raised. Charles loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and collecting John Deere tractors. He was always looking for a good tractor sale and loved to tinker with his tractors. Most of all Charles loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an amazing grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Charles is survived by his beloved

Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Marty of the home; stepson, Kent Pendley and wife of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters-in-law; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Bro. Chad Austin will officiate the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
