David Lee Hodges

Graveside services for David Lee Hodges, of Ringold, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 at Rufe Cemetery in Rufe, Okla.

David Lee Hodges was born March 20, 1935 in Shawnee, Okla., the son of David Arnold Hodges and Dorothy (Crabtree) Wamsley. He departed from this life on Nov. 13, 2022 in Antlers, Okla., at the age of 87. David married Kathryn McRorey on Oct. 23, 1957. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, and his parents.

David had a heart of gold. He is remembered as a very kind and loving person. David loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Kathryn was the love of his life and they were never far apart from one another. He was an amazing dad and an awesome grandfather. He will truly be missed by all who loved and knew him.

David is survived by his sons: Russell Hodges of Garland, Texas, David Mark Hodges and wife of Lake Whitney, Texas, and Roger Mike Hodges of Ringold; daughter, Tracy Simmons and husband of Plano, Texas; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Bro. Johnny Corgill will officiate the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
