Dewayne Scott White

Funeral services for Dewayne Scott White, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. May 9, 2022 at Blue Cemetery in McAlester, Okla. Dewayne passed away May 4, 2022, at the age of 57.

Dewayne Scott White was born on July 11, 1964 in Denton, Texas, the son of Kendall White and Shirley (Blevins)White. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley.

Scott grew up in Keller, Texas, and had been a resident of Choctaw County for more than 30 years. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Assembly of God. Scott enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and clearing fence. He was really talented at woodworking and loved animals. Scott especially loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Scott is survived by his father, Kendall White of Roanoke, Texas; brother, Kendall White, Jr. and wife of Roanoke, Texas; sisters: Regina White of Durant, Okla., and Maxine Lacey and husband of Farris, Okla.; his girlfriend Betty and a host of other friends, family and loved ones.

Bro. Chad Austin officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
