Funeral services for Dr. Robert Lee Feagan, of Paris, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 4, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel.

Dr. Robert Lee Feagan (Doc), longtime Hugo chiropractor, passed away Jan. 1, 2023, at the age of 98. He was born April 26, 1925, in Grayson County, Texas. He lived in both Grayson and Fannin County, Texas. during his youth attending schools in Ector and Bells, Texas. He enlisted in the Navy during World War II, serving on the U.S.S Halsey Powell warship. From his warship, Robert witnessed the surrender of Japan in Tokyo Bay, Sept. 2, 1945. Using the G.I. educational bill and working full time, he was able to go to Chiropractor College in San Antonio, Texas. Upon graduation, he opened his first practice in Antlers and several years later relocated to Hugo, where he practiced for more than 50 years. Robert was very involved in the community, serving on the Housing Board, the Lions Club, volunteering at the Baptist Village, and a long-time member and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church, Hugo. Robert is survived by Margaret and Kimberly Peck; the Jimmy and Mary Lou Blankenship Family; Ella Young and Linda Duggan. He is predeceased by his parents, Claude and Della Feagan; sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Domer Ryon; nephew, Franklin Peck and dear friend, Lillian Young.

Pallbearers included: Jaime, Jake and Cade Blankenship, Curtis and Corey Martin, and Scott Moss.

The Rev. Doug McClure officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
