Eddie Joe Fagan, Sr.

Funeral services for Eddie Joe Fagan, Sr., of Valliant, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Valliant. Eddie passed away Jan. 1, 2023, at the age of 73.

Eddie Fagan was born on Aug. 9, 1949 in Idabel, Okla., to Marvin and Dorothy (Staggs) Fagan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Mary Fagan; brothers: M.C. Fagan and Kerry Don Guest.

Eddie married the love of his life, Mary (Jeffus) Fagan on Dec. 27, 1966 in Frisco, Texas. Eddie was known for being a very genuine, loving husband, father and grandfather. His family always came first in his life. He worked as a saw filer, beginning at the age of 18 and was very well respected in his trade. Eddie enjoyed working in his yard and loved time spent with his wife on the front porch. He also liked giving rides on his tractor to the grandkids and other family members. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Eddie is survived by his sons: Eddie Fagan, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Okla., Tommy Fagan and wife of Midwest City, Okla., Adam Fagan and wife of Soper, Okla.; daughter, Janet Slaff of Midwest City, Okla.; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Linda Simpson and husband of Garvin, Okla., Karen Bean of Muskogee, Okla., Marlene Browning of Valliant and Jaime Rayanna Lawhon of Valliant; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home.

Interment will follow the service at Moran Cemetery in Valliant with Bro. Chad Austin officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
