Eric Clyde Lindsey, Sr.

Funeral services for Eric Clyde Lindsey, Sr., of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Dec. 21, 2020 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Eric passed away Dec. 14, 2020, at the age of 62.

Eric Clyde Lindsey, Sr. was born on Sept. 13, 1958 in Wichita County, Texas, to Felix H. Lindsey and Iona Mae Conley. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Catherine Conley; nephew, Kenneth Conley; son-in-law, Jerry Douglas and niece, LaCheysa Conley.

Eric was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served from August 1976 until May of 1978. He was a resident of the Hugo area for several years. Eric married his wife, Marva Colbert on May 16, 1984 in Hugo. He enjoyed fishing and would go whenever he was able. Eric will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Eric is survived by his wife, Marva; sons: Eric Lindsey, Jr. and spouse, Makayla Woodrum of Hugo, Otis Lindsey and spouse, Shelly Lane of Soper, Okla.; daughter, Kendra Lindsey of Paris, Texas; grandchildren: J’Keyria Douglas, Ken’ Jerrious Douglas, Dakarai Lindsey, Kylan Lindsey, Erianna Lindsey, Malik Mitchell, Cortrell Mitchell, Shalee Mitchell, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Clear Creek Cemetery in Valliant, Okla., with Carolyn Hicks officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
