Graveside services for Fredalene (Whatley) Warford, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 at Slater Cemetery in Wright City, Okla. Fredalene passed away Oct. 8, 2022, at the age of 91.

Fredalene (Whatley) Warford was born on May 6, 1931, in Rufe, Okla., the daughter of Mack Whatley and Modena (Provence) Bryant. She married Willie “Bill” Warford in DeQueen, Ark., and lived in the Herndon area most of her life. Fredalene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; son, Gordon Ruffin; a special son, Troy Ruffin; brother, Billy Whatley; sister, Mary Jo Cunningham; and a grandson.

Fredalene was a very special person with a heart of gold. Every person she ever met loved her. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and loved going to church. She was known for making the best chocolate gravy. Fredalene loved her family and spending time with them. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Fredalene is survived by her son, Jim Ruffin and wife of Golden, Okla.; daughter, Yvetta Hicks of Durant, Okla.; six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Bro. Lyn Gaskey officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
