Funeral services for Hazel Billy Taylor, of Fort Towson, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 13, 2022 at Goodwater United Methodist Church in Fort Towson. Hazel passed away Jan. 9, 2022, at the age of 85.

Hazel Bill Taylor was born on Aug. 31, 1936, in Sobol, Okla., the daughter of John and Nellie (Charlie) Billy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 63 years, Edgar Taylor, Sr.; daughter, Linda “Clay” Taylor; brothers: Solomon Billy, Junior Billy and Edwin Billy; and sister, Delories “Billy” Taylor.

Hazel was a lifelong resident of Sobol, and a member of the Goodwater United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, watering her flowers, and tending to her gardens. Hazel loved her children and enjoyed calling and checking on them. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Lora Tom. Hazel also enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers play. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Hazel is survived by her sons: Edgar Taylor,

Hazel is survived by her sons: Edgar Taylor, Jr. of Sobol, Hobie Taylor and wife of Sobol and Dewayne Taylor and wife of Durant, Okla.; daughters: Cinderella Deramus and husband of Broken Bow, Okla., Mary Taylor of Broken Bow, Betty Acklin and husband of Newton, Texas, Lisa Donaldson and husband of Durant, Anita Schroyer and husband of Idabel, Okla., Rita Austin and husband of Durant, Matilda Moore and husband of Corinne, Okla., and Adrian Mazias and husband of Durant; special grandchildren whom she raised; 37 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Versa “Billy” Crow, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 12, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo. Interment will follow the service at Good
