Jerry Wayne Hunter

Graveside services for Jerry Wayne Hunter, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 5, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel. Jerry passed away Dec. 31, 2022, at the age of 75. Jerry Wayne Hunter was born on March 7, 1947, in Hugo, Okla., the son of Buck and Pauline Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy Thompson; brothers: Charles Edward, Jr., John Hunter, Jimmie Hunter and Doyle Hunter.

Jerry was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and married the love of his life, Sharon Kay Hansen on July 11, 1997. He was employed by the Choctaw Nation for many years and loved being around people and especially loved his wife.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sharon; his beloved dog; sister, Judy Campbell and brothers: David Hunter and Howard Hunter, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel in Hugo.

Interment will follow the service at Springs Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Chad Austin officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
