Joyce Lillian Harper

Funeral services for Joyce Lillian Harper, of Hurst, Texas, were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 8, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Joyce passed away Jan. 4, 2022, at the age of 92.

Joyce Lillian Williams was born on Aug. 23, 1929, in Grant, Okla., the daughter of David Crockett and Olivia Josephine (Akins) Harper. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Travis Williams and brothers: James M. Harper, Robert G. Harper and D.C. Harper.

Joyce married the love of her life, Travis Williams on Dec. 26, 1947. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and making desserts for her family. Joyce loved to dance and visit with friends and family. She loved the Lord and loved going to church. Joyce will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by daughter, Glenda Abdelkarim and husband of Hurst, Texas where she spent the last almost nine years of her life; a granddaughter; two grandsons; six greatgrandchildren; daughter, Karen McNatt; three other grandchildren and a number of other great-grandchildren, along with a host of other loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Grant Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Corgill officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
