Services for Kathleen Elizabeth Smith were held Monday, July 18, 2022, at the Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Valliant, Okla. A resident of Paris, Texas, Kathleen passed away Thursday, July 14, in Paris, at the age of 94.

Kathleen was born on Jan. 12, 1928, in Addington, Okla., to Lonzo Wilkerson and Lottie (Walton) Wilkerson. She was preceded in death by her parents; one halfbrother; three half-sisters; sons: Michael Strain, Wayne Strain, and Joby Don Smith; four infant children; one grandchild and one great-great grandchild.

Kathleen was a woman of many loves and talents. She was an amazing seamstress, working many years in that industry. Kathleen also loved cats and raising show quality Siamese kittens. She was an avid reader, enjoyed word searches, and bird watching. She loved cardinals, especially. Kathleen was a simple woman and loved the little things in life like an ice-cold Dr. Pepper and a chocolate bar. However, her greatest love in life was her family. Being with them was her greatest joy. Kathleen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Linda Powell of Madill, Okla.; sons: Clifford Strain and wife of Idabel, Okla., and Steven Strain and wife of Valliant, Okla.; and also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and greatgreat grandchildren along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.

Services were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Valliant, Okla.
