Leola Ann Abbott

Funeral services for Leola Ann Abbott, of Rufe, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at Rufe Baptist Church. Leola passed away Jan. 31, 2022, at the age of 74.

Leola Ann Abbott was born on Jan. 25, 1948 in Sobol, Okla., to Theo and Frances (Reeves) Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Abbott; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Abbott; brothers: Billy Cooper, Daniel Cooper and Leroy Cooper.

Leola Ann Abbott lived in the Rufe community all her life and was a member of Rufe Baptist Church. She married Carl Abbott, Sr. and made their house a loving home. She had an open home that she loved raising children in. Her children and grand children were her greatest joy. Leola loved taking care of Scott Lee and Tessa Foster. She enjoyed sewing and loved sitting outside reading. Leola will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Leola is survived by her husband, Carl Abbott, Sr. of Rufe; sons: Carl Abbott, Jr. and companion, and David Abbott of Mt. Dora, Fla.; daughters: Kaidence Abbott of Rufe and Angel Abbott of Rufe; seven grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; brothers: Charles Cooper of Rufe and Sherman Cooper of Rufe; sister, Lanney Rhea of Little Rock, Ark.; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Rufe Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Miller officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
