Funeral services for Nina Mae Drinnon, of Fort Towson, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 29, 2022 at Shoals Baptist Church in Hugo. Nina passed away Dec. 24, 2022, at the age of 63.

Nina Mae Drinnon was born in Weatherford, Texas, the daughter of James McCanless and Bonnie Mae (Burkehaulter) McCanless. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Drinnon and sisters: Pat, Debbie, Jodi, Sandy and Betty.

Nina lived most of her life in the Fort Towson area and was a member of Shoals Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and would cook for all who came to her home –– she especially enjoyed baking and delivering pies to her friends and family. Nina loved gathering cattle and riding horses with her husband, William. She also loved dogs, but especially loved her poodle, Jody. Nina enjoyed having her granddaughters and their friends spend the night, and teaching them how to cook in her kitchen. Nina also enjoyed spending time with her family and hosting get togethers to fry deer meat for them. She loved Dr. Pepper, roses and Hallmark movies and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Nina is survived by her sons: James Diggs and wife of Fort Towson, Dwayne Drinnon and wife of Cunningham, Texas, and Shane Diggs and wife of Dayton, Texas; daughter, Marlene Foreman and husband of Fort Gibson, Okla.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Linda McCanless of Broken Bow, Okla., along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home.

Interment will follow the service at Fort Towson Cemetery with Bro. Steve Buchanan officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
