Funeral services for Nola Jean Williams, of Idabel, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 17, 2022 at Fort Towson Cemetery Chapel. Nola passed away Feb. 14, 2022, at the age of 78.

Nola Jean Williams was born on Sept. 7, 1943 in Fort Towson, Okla., daughter of Herman Cooper and Liddie (Bushart) Cooper. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers: Pete Cooper, Howard Cooper and Joe Cooper; sisters: Marie McLemore and Mildred Bryant and son, Harold Gene Williams.

Nola spent the majority of her life in McCurtain County, working at Weyerhaeuser in Valliant, Okla., for more than 30 years. She worked as a paper maker and lab technician during her many years there. Nola enjoyed traveling and she loved to stop at garage sales anywhere she could find them. Her favorite thing to search for at garage sales was anything Coca-Cola, she had a very large collection of items. She also loved the outdoors, especially big and beautiful trees. Nola loved to go out to eat and to go dancing every chance she had. Her greatest joy however, was being able to spend time with her friends and family. Nola will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nola is survived by her daughter, Carol Lynn Williams of Coweta, Okla.; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones. Bro. Jim Staggs officiated the service,
