Ronald Ray Smith, 76, passed away peacefully on Feb. 15, 2021 at his home in Fort Towson, Okla. A celebration of Ronnie’s life was held at 11 a.m. Feb. 24, 2021 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, Okla.

Ronnie was born to Ahlene and Ray Smith on Jan. 17, 1945 in Paris, Texas. Ronnie married his high school sweetheart, Linda Armstrong, in 1965 and had two children: Jeff Smith and Jill Fitch. Ronnie remarried Marilyn Loftin in 1976 and had another son, Kristopher Smith. Ronnie was passionate about his family, race cars and animals. Ronnie owned several race cars over his lifetime that gave him great joy. Ronnie was also a fierce animal lover who rescued multiple lucky mutts over the years.

Ronnie is survived by his children: Kristopher Smith and wife, Crystal of Longview, Texas, Jeff Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jill Fitch and her husband, Ray of McKinney, Texas. Ronnie is also survived by his grandchildren: Lindsey Morrison, Heather Delbrel, Bradley Stargell, Serena Smith, Rex and Ryan Fitch. Ronnie is survived by his sister, Sheila Church of Hugo and his niece and nephews: Casey Church and wife, Dana of Hugo, Josh Church and his wife, Holly of Hugo, Sarah Church and husband, Brian Hancock of Knoxville, Tenn.
