Rosetta Caston

Graveside services for Rosetta Caston were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021 at the Grant Cemetery in Grant, Okla., with Keithen Brown officiating. Rosetta went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, in Paris, Texas, at the age of 85.

Rosetta was born Dec. 7, 1935 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of Arnold and Emma Mae (Spears) Babcock. She had lived in this area most of her life and was a very active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hugo. Rosetta married Maxie Glenn Caston on Nov. 22, 1956 in Hugo. She had worked at the Glove Factory, and as a salesclerk for Sherman Shoes and Sharpe’s Department Store. Rosetta knew everybody, and loved to go shopping, garage sale hunting, cooking and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Samuel Austin Babcock; sister, Bertha Lavern (Babcock) Hinsley.

Rosetta is survived by her husband, Maxie Caston of Hugo; her children: Perry and Dawn Caston of Flower Mound, Texas, and Maxie Darryl Caston of Hugo; grandchildren: Brody Caston, Alixx Caston, Evan Caston, Laura Caston and Jodie Caston.
