Funeral services for Foy Eugene Wallace, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. April 21, 2021 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Roy passed away April 15, 2021, at the age of 95.

Roy Eugene Wallace was born on Nov. 26, 1925 in Rattan, Okla., to Roy, Sr. and Mildred Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Roy married Ruby Hartman on June 1, 1944 in Hugo and was called to serve in the United States Navy on Aug. 21, 1944. He received a Point System Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal along with the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal for his service during World War II. Roy was a Printer Second Class during his tenure in the Navy, he then returned to Hugo where he apprenticed at E.M. Dewoone & Co. in Hugo as a printer. He later opened his own printing business, Wallace Printing and operated it with Ruby by his side.

Roy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hugo as well as the Masonic Lodge in Hugo. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, water skiing, riding horses, flying and photography. Roy will be fondly remembered by many in the Hugo Community and will be missed by many.

Roy is survived by his wife, Ruby; nieces: Nancy Cox and husband, Craig of Austin, Texas, and Sharon Kress and husband, Jeff of Austin; great-nieces: Samantha, Ally, Jane, Shelby, Cassie; great-nephews: Jeffrey, Dominic and Cameron, along with a host of other friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Joey Brindley officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
