Vivian Janevieve (Billy) Dameron was born on Dec. 26, 1944 in Poteau, Okla., to Thomas Billy and Edna (Borden) Billy. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald Billy and sister, Norma Burden.

Jan was raised in Poteau, graduating from the local high school in 1963. She then married the love of her life, Bobby Dameron, there on Sept. 26, 1964. They later moved to the Hugo area where they have resided for the last 50 years. Jan worked for the city of Hugo as a clerk for the water department for many years. In her spare time Jan loved going camping and fishing with her family, enjoying the outdoors and cooking at the campgrounds. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting, always making things for the people she loved. However, the greatest joy Jan had in life was her family. Loving to spend time with them every chance she could. Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother; she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Dameron; daughters: Angela Watts and husband of Hugo and Crystal West and husband of Hugo; brothers: Leroy Billy and wife of Poteau and Fayette Billy and wife of Poteau; sister, Cherry Neal of Cameron, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.

Arrangements are under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
