William “Billy Dale” Bloodworth, lifetime hunter and fisherman of Choctaw County passed peacefully in his home in Hugo, Okla., on April 16, 2022, at the age of 74. William spent the majority of his life in Hugo, aside from his time in the military where he was a decorated combat veteran of the U.S. Marines.

William retired from the Kiamichi Railroad and was said to be the “worm fisherman” of railroad engineering as he could move a train expertly by “feel” alone.

William enjoyed listening to Bob Seger and his favorite television show was Longmire. He also loved bird watching, gun shopping with his good friend, Keith Luna, and spending time with his beloved yellow lab, Bud.

William is survived by his son, Jon Bloodworth and wife, Brittany; son, Allen Melick; mother of his children, Sondra Bloodworth; his brother, Tommy Bloodworth; his cousin, Mike Bloodworth; his niece, Melissa Methvin.

A private celebration of life will be held for William at a later date for close friends and family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
