Graveside services for William Edward Pisachubbe, of McAlester, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 18, 2020 at Tuskahoma Veterans Cemetery in Tuskahoma, Okla. William passed away Aug. 14, 2020, at the age of 86.

William Edward (Ed) Pisachubbe was born in Speer, Okla., on July 21, 1934, to Colbert Ernest Pisachubbe and Anna Mae (Washington) Pisachubbe. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Cecelia Frances Heath, Mary Louise Williams and brother, Ira Dean Pisachubbe.

Ed was married to Marjorie Lou Bunn for 53 years. Together they raised their son and daughter, sharing with them their love for God and instilling a strong work ethic and the importance of respect and compassion for all. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the United States Air Force after 25 years of service. Ed was a medical technician for 18 of those years and finished his career as an instructor at the NCO Academy in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Education was very important to Ed as evidenced by his earning a Bachelor’s Degree as well as two Masters’ Degrees. He pastored in the Dallas area for many years. Ed was a full-blood Choctaw from the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. His membership was with the Oklahoma Choctaws. He was also a member of the Choctaw Nation Veterans Association and the American Christian Therapist South Organization.

In his younger years, Ed was a two-time state boxing champion for Hugo High School and U.S. Air Force boxing champion. Ed’s greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his grandsons.

Ed is survived by his wife, Majorie; sons: Samuel Christian Frank, Joseph Colbert Pisachubbe; daughters: Valerie Ann Vaughn, Michele Renee Frank, Jeanita Cecelia Pisachubbe; grandsons and a great-grandson.

Ed’s family officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
