OKLAHOMA CITY – Southeast Oklahoma squirrel hunters were headed for the woods last week as the state’s annual squirrel season opened May 15 until the end of the year.
Oklahoma has two species of squirrels that are legal to hunt: the eastern fox squirrel and the eastern gray squirrel, according to Oklahoma Wildlife officials.
