Johnny Sue Chambless

Graveside services for Johnny Sue Chambless were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Restland Cemetery with Brent Shain officiating. Johnny went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 76.

Johnny was born Nov. 28, 1944 in Weslaco, Texas, the daughter of Ed Charles and Katherine Imogene (Williams) Holland. She lived in this area the last 25 years. Johnny worked for a few school districts in Texas serving in the maintenance dept. She worked at Lamar School District, as well as the school districts of Sulphur Springs and Melissa, Texas. While in Boswell she worked as a health care provider. Johnny had a talent for finding treasure, she would use a metal detective device to go searching for it. She enjoyed sewing and painting. She enjoyed life! She spent time fishing, hunting and camping. Johnny is preceded in death by her parents; and a sister-in-law.

She is survived by her companion, of Boswell, Okla.; three sisters: Nancy Pardue of Boswell, Bettie Ashby of Paris, Texas, Sally Mebane of Canton, Texas; brother, Tom Holland of Colbert, Okla. Services were under the direction of Mt. Olive Funeral Home.
