Funeral services for Mamie Lawana Holt Pardue were held Saturday, July 17 at 10 a.m. in the Boswell Church of Christ in Boswell, Okla.

Mamie died in Boswell on July 14, 2021. She was 93.

Mamie Lawana Holt Pardue was born Dec. 18, 1927, in Marietta, Okla., to Walon and Clara (Kerrick) Holt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Pardue; brothers: Dare Holt, Glendale Holt and Eugene Holt and sister Renea Johnson.

Mamie was a member of the Boswell Church of Christ and loved the Lord. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education and loved teaching. Mamie taught for more than 11 years at Bennington Schools and retired from Boswell High School where she had taught math for more than 20 years.

She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed cooking for them, and she especially loved taking care of her husband, Edwin. Mamie was very independent and worked hard all her life, she especially enjoyed taking care of her cattle. She loved the outdoors and spent as much time as she could taking care of her yard and flowers. Mamie will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Mamie is survived by sons: Dale Pardue of Boswell, Okla., Jerry of Sugarland, Texas; daughter, Joy Holmes of Rockwall, Texas and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren along with many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral services were officiated by John Caroll and burial followed in Boswell’s Restland Cemetery under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo.
