Funeral services for Brenda Sue Goodson, of Antlers, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Dec. 16, 2021 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Brenda passed away Dec. 13, 2021, at the age of 63.

Brenda Sue Goodson was born on Oct. 24, 1958, in Hugo, Okla., to Edgar and Barbara (Lemons) Babcock.

Brenda was a graduate of Hugo High School, Class of 1976. She married Randy Vanderburg in April of 1977 and spent most of her life in the Hugo area. Brenda was a devoted wife and mother of two daughters. She worked for many years at Walmart, owned and operated two local businesses, Movie Madness and Fantasy Land, as well as working in the home health field. After her husband passed away, she was fortunate to find another love. She married Charlie Goodson of Antlers, Okla., on Nov. 1, 2010. Brenda lived the remainder of her life in Antlers, where she enjoyed reading, playing table and board games with her family, and taking a good nap. She loved visits with her grandkids and watching the hummingbirds from the front porch.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Charlie Goodson; mother, Barbara Babcock; daughters, Jordana Frost and husband and Erika Fennell and husband; step-children: Charlie Curtis Goodson, Katie Goodson, Hershel Goodson and wife; eight grandchildren; brother, Steve Babcock and wife, along with sister, Vickie Speaks. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Randy Vanderburg and her father, Edgar Babcock.

Interment followed the service at Springs Chapel Cemetery in Hugo, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
