Funeral services for Rhonda Kay Briggs, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 28, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel.

Rhonda Briggs, 55, was born in Amarillo, Texas, on Dec. 20, 1966, to Ronald Tuttle and Rita (Oldham) Tuttle. She lost her battle with cancer on Sept. 24, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Robert Oldham, who raised her most of her life; sister, Karen Lucero and grandchildren: O.J. and J.J.

Rhonda moved to Oklahoma in 2001 and married the love of her life and best friend, Ronald Briggs. She loved taking care of people and that was shown in the love and care she provided throughout her 34 years in the nursing field.

Rhonda worked as a CNA for 16 years then as a nurse for 18 years until she became disabled with chronic back problems. Rhonda was a member of Southside Baptist Church and when she was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma in 2017 her faith in God carried her through the fight. She will be remembered as a strong woman who fought a brave battle and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rhonda is survived by her husband, Ronny Briggs; sons: Michael Tuttle, Ronald Briggs, Jr. “R.J.” and Zayden Tuttle; daughters: Krystal Dominguez, Monica Dominguez and boyfriend, Austin Ingram and Averee Tuttle; daughters-in-law: Emily Tuttle and Deliliah Briggs; grandchildren: C.J., Zayden, Averee, Lakaci, Kason, Kaiden, Siniah, Kinzley and Isaac; mother-in-law, Lola Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, friends’ family and loved ones.

It was Rhonda’s desire that everyone makes sure that their hearts are right with God so they can go to Heaven to be with her.

Bro. Greg Mack officiated the service with Jaime Stevenson officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
