Funeral services for Peggy Diane Wortham, of Valliant, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 at The Church in Garvin, Okla. Peggy passed away Oct. 28, 2022, at the age of 66.

Peggy Diane Wortham was born on Aug. 9, 1956, in Idabel, Okla., the daughter of Paul Stuart and Inell (Lucas). She was preceded in death by her parents.

Peggy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and a cherished granny. She loved her family and friends fiercely. She expressed her love through cooking and was great at it. She loved to cook and loved even more to share her cooking with loved ones. Even after she lost her café, she continued cooking and sharing her meals with the community.

Peggy loved to craft and watch crafting videos. She made many cherished items to share with family and friends. Peggy was the ultimate giver. She was the coupon queen and could stretch a dollar better than anyone. The savings were always passed on to someone else in the form of a meal or the wonderful bag of goodies she gave for birthdays and holidays. Peggy would give you anything and everything she had.

Peggy would greet everyone with a smile and usually a story, too. She remembered every detail, no matter how long ago it happened, and if you forgot who you were kin to, she’d remind you of that, too. Peggy was the perfect example of unconditional Christian love; of giving grace, forgiveness and second and third chances. The love she felt for her family was radiated in her big smile, the shine in her eyes and tightness of her hugs. Peggy had a big heart, a kind soul, a beautiful smile and a love that will truly be missed. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Delbert “Pappy” Wortham; daughter, Amy Keeling and husband of Valliant; sons: William Wortham and wife of Jenks, Okla., and David Wortham of Valliant; brothers: Ronald Stuart and wife of Millerton, Okla., and Billy Aaron Stuart and wife of Millerton; sister, Brenda Marshall and husband of Valliant; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nieces; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Valliant.

Interment will follow the service at Valliant Cemetery with Brent Coffey and Bob Stuart officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
