John Thomas Turk

Graveside services for John Thomas Turk will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at the Woodland Cemetery, in Arthur City, Texas. John went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 in Hugo, Okla., at the age of 88.

John Thomas Turk was born March 10, 1932, to Albert and Gracie (Crews) Turk, in Manchester, Texas. He had lived in the Hugo and Paris area for a number of years and was of the Baptist Faith. John enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Turk and Gracie Crews Turk and four siblings: Robert Turk, Daisy Hamil, William Turk, Dorothy Lowrey.

John is survived by sons: John Turk of Idabel, Okla., and Ralph Turk and wife, Misty of Garvin, Okla.; and step-son, Dean Freeman and wife, Vanessa of Fort Towson, Okla.; daughters: Sherrie Aguilar and husband, Marcial of Broken Bow, Okla., Debbie Wockman and husband, Robert of Powderly, Texas; sister, Mary Helen Akin of Mabank, Texas; brother, J.W. Turk of Paris, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at the Woodland Cemetery before the services.

Services are under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
