Augustine Vernette Downey

Memorial services for Augustine Vernettte Downey were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 at the Galilee Church Of Christ. Augustine passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 43.

Augustine Vernettte Downey was born Aug. 11, 1979, to Augusta and Sylvia (Moore) Fudge, in Denton, Texas. She had lived most of her life in this area and enjoyed attending her church. Augustine enjoyed playing cards, watching movies and listening to music.

Augustine was preceded in death by her father, Augusta Fudge.

Augustine is survived by her husband, Robert Moody of Denton, Texas; children: Katallia Henderson and Demara Henderson; mother, Sylvia Fudge of Hugo; brothers: Darron Downey of Hugo, Augusta Fudge, Jr., Victor Fudge, Michael Fudge and Howard Fudge; sisters: Mona Bell of Hugo, Ericka Fudge Wilson of Hugo and Mary Fudge; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Services were under the direction of Prater Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
