Body

Bobby “Bob” Owen Ray, of Hugo, Okla., passed away July 30, 2021, at the age of 64.

Bobby Owen Ray was born on Jan. 27, 1957 in Bonham, Texas, to Walter “Red” and Louise (Crain) Ray. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Ray.

Bob lived most of his life in the Hugo area and enjoyed life as a rancher and a cowboy. He worked as a ranch hand throughout the area and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Bob loved spending his spare time roping, he especially loved pasture and team roping. Bob also prided himself on his ability to break and train any horse and he always had a yellow dog or two by his side while working cattle. Bob was always looking for a good trade and so many stories could be told about Bob and his life here on this earth. He will be missed by so many who knew him and enjoyed working with him.

Bob is survived by his son, Casey Ray of Stephenville, Texas; daughters: Brandi Hunt and husband of Argyle, Texas, and Rebecca Carpenter; four grandchildren, along with a host of other friends and loved ones.

Memorial services to be determined, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
