Funeral services for Carmaleta (White) Holt, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. March 11, 2022 at Sawyer Baptist Church. Carmaleta passed away March 8, 2022, at the age of 76.

Carmaleta (White) Holt was born on Feb. 10, 1946 in Idabel, Okla., the daughter of T A White and Esther (Matthews) White. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rodney Holt and two brothers-in-law.

Carmaleta married the love of her life, Bill Holt on June 13, 1964 in Redland, Okla. They were residents of the Fort Towson area for more than 25 years before moving to Hugo. She enjoyed writing poetry and following her kids and grandkids to sporting events. Carmaleta’s greatest enjoyment came from the time she spent with her family, babysitting her grandchildren and attending the annual family reunion. She loved her family beyond measure, but above all things she loved the Lord and was a great Christian woman, and she hated when she wasn’t able to attend church. Carmaleta will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Carmaleta is survived by her husband
