Christine Rebecca Durant

Graveside services for Christine Rebecca Durant, of Durant, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 29, 2021 at Restland Cemetery in Boswell, Okla. Christine passed away Jan. 24, 2021, at the age of 86.

Christine Rebecca Durant was born on Oct. 26, 1934 in Boswell, Okla., to Daniel and Ella (Williams) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Smallwood Dan Durant; son, Douglas Ray Durant and brothers: E.J. Johnson and Aboat Johnson.

Christine grew up in the Boswell area and worked in the fast food industry and management at various truck stops. She was a member of Mead Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting with her friends. Christine also enjoyed listening to music and watching news programs. She loved spending time with her family and will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Christine is survived by her sons: Richard Durant and Danny Ray Durant of Durant, Okla.; daughters: Beatrice Bridges and Shirley Durant of Durant; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Bro. Olen Williams officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
