Funeral services for Debbie Azlin, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Debbie passed away Jan. 26, 2021, at the age of 73.

Deborah Louise Azlin was born Jan. 5, 1948 in Fort Towson, Okla., the daughter of Edgar Burkham and Laura (Taylor) Burkham. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Joe B. Burkham and her sister, Lawan Scott.

Debbie graduated from Fort Towson High School, the class of 1966, and went on to obtain her license to become a beautician. She married Ronnie Azlin on Dec. 1, 1967 at First Baptist Church in Fort Towson. Debbie worked as a hairdresser for 22 years. She went on to work for the Department of Human Services as a receptionist and retired after 22 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, decorating and square dancing. Debbie loved spending time with her family and friends and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Ronnie Azlin; daughter, Kristen (Azlin) Broadway of Sherman, Texas; granddaughter, Amy Broadway of Poteau, Okla.; a special niece, Pamela Graham, along with a host of many wonderful, beloved family, friends and loved ones.

Services were also aired via Facebook Live for family and friends who were unable to attend. Interment followed the service at Valliant Cemetery in Valliant, Okla., with Bro. Doug McClure officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
