Diane (Shropshire) Mahaffey

Memorial services for Diane (Shropshire) Mahaffey, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 12, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Diane passed away Feb. 2, 2022, at the age of 82.

Diane (Shropshire) Mahaffey was born on Aug. 20, 1939 in Eufaula, Okla., to Inez Vanderpool Shropshire and Counterman Shropshire. She married Donald Mahaffey on Feb. 23, 1963 in Eufaula. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, David Jackson and her sister, Kay Stafford.

Diane had many passions in life. In college, she was active in both the music and speech departments, as well as a member of both Sig ma Sigma Sigma social sorority and Alpha Psi Omega dramatics fraternity. Later in life, she was a member of the Hugo and Paris community theaters and sang for First Baptist Church of Hugo. She loved to travel, and she was a lady –– patient and loyal. She loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed.

Diane is survived by her son, Danny Mahaffey and wife, Stacie; grandson, Karson; her sisters: Carmita and Debbie; her brother, Dane; her nieces: Michele and Shari and numerous other relatives and friends.

Bro. Doug McClure will officiate the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
