Donna Jean Boykin

Funeral services for Donna Jean Boykin, of Soper, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Oct. 7, 2021 at Soper gymnasium. Donna passed away Oct. 3, 2021, at the age of 56.

Donna Jean Boykin was born Nov. 14, 1964 in Orange County, Calif., to Donald Watson and Ruth Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Bruce Black.

Donna was first and foremost a follower of Christ. She enjoyed singing and worshiping the Lord and devoted her life to live as a true Christian should. Donna was a resident of the Soper Community for more than 50 years and was a graduate of Soper High School, Class of 1983. She was devoted to her family and put everyone’s needs above her own. Donna enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her grand-dog. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Donna is survived by her husband of 37 years, Haston Boykin, Jr.; sons: Sherman Boykin and wife of Pocola, Okla., Skip Boykin and wife of Witter, Ark.; daughter, Hannah Boykin of Soper; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren with one on the way; brothers: Jason Earl Black, Bruce Alton Black II and wife; sister, Sharon Ruth Fagan and husband, along with a host of honorary children and numerous other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Soper Cemetery with Bro. Mike Tom officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
